Messenger popups

I have read most of the posted Q/A’s already, and cant find an answer, so im going to ask away here.

I would like to know, that if I block the messenger service on the desktop, does this, or will this cause problems with Exchange, specifically Outlook (currenty via IMAP, soon to be Exchange)?

We have only one user using Exchange at the present, but we are in the process of migrating to an AD domain w/ Exchange2K.

Is there an easy way to deploy a popup blocker (dont forget, we are stilla WINNT Domain) via a login script? Is there a program that will require little to no user intervention? How about one with an MSI package????
