microphone not working!!!please help…

I am having trouble with my mic trying to use it through msn messenger. It use to work a while back but hasn’t worked for month’s. I have tried downloading updates from creative and that didn’t work I have tried all the sound control option’s and still nothing. I have an SOUND BLASTER AUDIGY 2ZS SOUND CARD ON WIN XP MCE. I can get a little noise or static out of mic when I run the test wizard, but that’s it…anyone have any answers???;{
