Microsoft Visual Basic

PC recently crashed and reinstalled programs. Upon opening Word or Excel a “Microsoft Visual Basic” dialog box appears with an error message “Compile error in hidden module: AutoExec”-pressing the OK button lets me go about my buisness but what isthis error and how do I get rid of this box?
