Misdirected print server messages

Our network consists of an NT 4 Server and NT 4 Workstations communicating via TCP/IP. When printing to a network printer, the screen message that acknowledges a successful print job gets displayed on another workstation on the network rather than the workstation from which the job was sent. At my workstation, I was logged on as Administrator. The print job that I originated was acknowledged on the screen of another workstation that was logged on to the network as a member of the Users group. Can anyone explain this or suggest a fix? TIA
