Missing Dialup Connection in XP Pro

I recently upgraded a laptop form XP Home to XP Pro so I could log onto my work domain, now when I try to set up a dial up connection using the wizard all the modem options are greyed out and all I can use is the permanent LAN connection, which is fine at work but of no use at home
