MMC connections – 2 questions

1.When using the MMC from my desktop I can connect to some of the IIS web servers I want to manage but from others I get “The object exporter specified was not found”

2. Is there a way to remove ‘persistent connections’ to servers that the MMC istrying to connect to after those servers have been removed from the network?
