Modems & XP Pro

I have 2 modems, a HP56/PCTel & a Swann/Flash.
Both worked well on all OS’s except XP.
I keep getting an ” Incompatibility ” memo when installing either modem.
Can this be fixed and/or which Modems are compatible with XP.
Cheers…….Scouse.
