More Dual Boot

I have three drive partitions.. 98 is already on one..i have 2 more if i install xp onto another partition will it automatically load 98 if i dont chosoe a option in the menu…see the problem is my parents dislike xp and i like it..they use 98 but i want it to if nothing is picked in the menu to just load 98 so they dotn ahve any problems (computer illeterate people)..so would it automtically just load 98 in my setup if 98 was on the c drive and xp on anther? If not Would i jsut change it likewas said in the last Dual boot qestion?
