Motherboard

I added more memory to my computer and when I turned it back on I heard two beeps.
I opened the case and the memory was hot to touch. I replaced all memory and turned it on again, no boot up and no harddrive sound. The two cooling fans worked on the motherboard but no booting sound. Did I fried my motherboard and CPU? Its is an ASUS board P4S8X-X and if I have to replace the board what motherboard and CPU that is up to date that will fit into an ATX case with 400 wts of power?
