I am building a new PC and it is true I am not so much up there with hardware knowledge. I have a new ECS PF21 Extreme Motherboard.
http://www.ecs.com.tw/ECSWeb/index.aspx?MenuID=0&LanID=0
The power is setup like so:
10 9 8 7 6 (no pin on 6)
1 2 3 4 5
1 > HD_LED_P
2 > HD_LED_N
3 > RST_SW_N
4 > RST_SW_P
5 > RSVD
6 > NC (no pin)
7 > PWR_SW_N
8 > PWR_SW_P
9 > FP PWR/SLP
10 > FP PWR/SLP
I have 5 connectors from the chassis’ front (with cable colors):
-P LED (white)
+P LED (green)
HDD LED (yellow/white)
RESET (white/blue)
POWER (orange/white)
Also…..
The motherboard has 2 connectors called USB 3 and 4. The pin layouts are:
10 9 8 7 6
1 2 3 4 5 (no pin on 5)
1 > USB DUAL VCC (pin1)
2 > USBP4-
3 > USBP4+
4 > GROUND
5 > KEY (no pin)
6 > USBOC45#
7 > GROUND
8 > USBP5+
9 > USBP5-
10 > USB DUAL VCC
The chassis’ front USB ports are:
1 VCC = Power for port1
1 -D = negative signal for port1
1 +D = positive signal for port1
1 Ground
2 VCC = power port2
2 -D = negative signal for port2
2 +D = positive signal for port2
2 Ground
What gets plugged into where? I have checked the docs for both products and found nothing. Wrote to both companies, and of course, got nothing back.
Thank you for your help.
