Move programs from one internal drive to another with partition Magic

Following advice from other members I installed my second hardrive. Thank You.
I want to move the programs on to the new drive as I have been told that the old one shows signs of failure.
Can I use the copy feature of Partition Magic 8 to do this and save the updates on the programs or should I reload the programms seperatly. I have Windows XP Home.
