Our company is at the midst of completing a NT to 2000 domain migration. A domain trust has been in place between our old NT domain and new 2000 domain. The only server(s) left in the old NT domain is the PDC and an Exchange 5.5 server running on NT server 4.0. All workstations and users authenicate to the 2000 domain. All mailboxes are owned by Active Directory User account. All exchange users access the exchange server through the domain trust using their 2000 domain accounts. The last step required to complete the domain migration is to demote the Exchange 5.5 server from the NT domain and promote it to the 2000 Domain. Would anyone see any issues with doing this? Upon promotion in the 2k domain would this exchange server have any issues running and servicing accounts which are already in the new domain? I guess I just need a definate yes or no. Thanks for any help.
