MPREXE hangs system

I am trying to find a solution to this error messages without having to re-install windows.

“MPREXE, This program has performed an illegal operation and will shutdown….
MPREXE caused an invalid page fault in module HPJDNP.DLL at 0115f:1000224e.”

As a result of this I can not log into the local network, use printers on the network, or even a printer connected to the PC. It also cause the system to go into a hang state.
