MRTG Configuration

Hello MRTG expert,
I just installed Mrtg-2.9.17 on my windows NT (ip 192.168.100.5)and quite working fine. Now i want to monitor my Cisco router (ip 192.168.100.1) and isn;t working. I already go to the main website of the MRTG and it’s very complex and not so detailed. Do i need to configure anything on the router?

i aready use this command to cfgmaker and still not work.

perl cfgmaker public@192.168.100.1 –global “WorkDir: c:\www\mrtg” — output mrtg.cfg

I would really appreciateif you could provide a detailed information how to configure it.
