MS ACCESS 2000 Countdown Timer

I’d like to display a coundown timer for a form in ACCESS 2000 and have the form perform another action when the timer is complete. I can time the form but can’t find a way to display the time left before the action (another form) takes place. Maybe I’m just brain dead these days. I’d also like to know how to have a progress meter show up during a query or search which would be user helpful in a large database.
