MS Access calculated field in report help!

I have a report that is based on a query, where once I have the report grouped I created a calculated field, then I try to get the sum of the that calculated field , but it will not do it . It prompts me for the value for the calculated field. I couldn’t do the calculation in the query because additional grouping was required that I couldn’t do in the query. Any suggestion would be appreciated.
