MS-DOS APPS PRINTING TO USB PORTS

I have an older (1997) MS-DOS based application that runs on a Dell Dimension XPS T450 workstation running Win98 SE on a WinNT 4.0 network server. Under printer setup there is no option for a USB port. A laptop parallel cable connection is being used in conjunction with the USB cable. How can I redirect printer output to a local HP LJ 1220 that is using the USB printer cable?
