MS Messenger again?

Ms Messenger win XP home

I have MSN messenger turned off in win XP …..but I keep getting a pop up ad from MSN that reads in the top pop up line ..” Messenger Service”
in the start of the ad there is who it is from with a IP address then the ad which is mostly about porn or something close like dating..
Where is this coming from and how can I stop it?

I have gone into my computer /manage/service and then change’d messenger to “disabled” but I am still getting pop up coming in I have even tried to diable messenger in registry but it won’t let me…getting really tired of this any help out there?
