MS SYSPREP- Util

by mhartmann . Updated 25 years, 5 months ago

Hi !

I am trying to setup a image for my customer where I want to solve the following facts at once:
+ Creating Image with PQ-Drive Image 3
( I already got the script.txt !)
+ Creating a bootable CD with that Image and
the PQDI / Sysprep-files with settings for A:\sysprep.inf
(also got that !)
+ being able to change to PC-name by hand
(Disk A contains the sysprep.inf)
=============================================
here is my question:
I want to change the PC-Name manually WITHOUT a reboot after clonening ! That is why I want to change the Pc-name in the sysprep.inf manually before starting the new clone. Now when the clone starts it should check on the A:\drive for the sysprep.inf and get the infos and the PC-name from there.
Does that work ? But still there is one spot missing – changing the SID – but on MS-Stuff there is no correct setting (on the reg or where ) form which I should start the setupcl.exe !) Can anybody help ? Thanks
