msgsrv32.exe not responding in Word 2000

On one of my client machines (Win 98SE) approximately 20-30 seconds after you open Word 200 it becomes unresponsive. After Ctrl-Alt-Del I receive a BSOD and when I return to windows I get a msgsrv32.exe (Not responding) message. Has anyone seen this type error in Word before.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
