I have reached the end of my rope and must either ask for help or use the rope to hang myself. The application is PowerPoint 97. I am trying to draw an organization chart using the blank presentation template. I do it frequently on my old HP Vectra (32MB RAB, 1.5 gig hard drive, 166 Mhz) running Windows 95, and it works fine. Using the same version (same CD-ROM) of PowerPoint (Office97 Professional with SR2) on a newer Gateway (128 MB RAM, 12.7 gig hard drive, 500 Mhz) running Windows 98, Iget the message ?There isn?t enough memory to read MS Org Chart?. I even tried to edit an existing organization chart and got the same results. I have looked at the system information from each system with PowerPoint loaded for hours, and I can?t figure out what the problem is. Apparently my efforts to upgrade hardware has resulted in a downgrade of capability. Is it possible to have too much memory? Any ideas?
