Multi-Boot ME&XP — unable to recover ME

I may have leaped before looking. I am trying to recover a ME / XP installation on a single drive. I used the XP recovery console to rebuild my boot.ini file; but, the process fails to recognize my Millenium Edition Installation. I am also attempting to continue to access an XP installation which is itself an upgrade which once its no longer on “C” doesn’t fully function. *Note – I only want to keep ME for programs that will only function under ME and I want to continue to use the programs that will work under XP. I have uninstalled the software under each OS that I’m not using.
