Multi column programs

I was able to go to -Mycomputer/View/FolderOptions/View- and click a box “Enable multicolumn programs”‘ This spread out the programs on my screen, and I did not have to scroll.
This box has disappeared, and I can’t figure out how to get this box, or this feature back. I am running Win98SE.
Any suggestions?
