Multiple drive letters same netwrk drive

Sometimes windows 2000 professional computers on my windows 2000 domain will create multiple copies of a network drive using all the letters of the alphabet. I open exporer and see f:,g:,h:,i:,j:,…… all mapped to the same network drive share. When I click on them they disappear except the real one. who got this one?? Be specific??
