must CTL+ALT+DEL several times for video

HELP!!!!!When I turn on or reboot my computer, I get no display. It post with the video error beep but no display. I must CTRL+ALT+DEL several times to get the monitor to wake the heck up!I’m using the Biostar M7VIP Mobo (Aug 2002 bios) and win98se, DX8.1, and Ge Force4 PCI card with Mar 2002 drivers . I got no display at all with the G4 “AGP”. BUT I always had reliable display with the old basic PCI card before going to ge4. Why does it take several CTRL+ALT+DELS to wake up the monitor????
