My HDD makes a bleep!

Hi everyone!
My seagate 10gb ST10352SA HDD occasionly turns itself off and makes a bleeping noise and the pc then shuts down. Is this my PSU failing (as the cdroms flash like mad) of the Data cables? Please help as i don’t want to loose another HDD!
