My wireless USB adaptor wont work!

hi, i am setting up a wirless network for my G/F on WIN XP(easy) but when i installed the wireless adaptor (NETGEAR?s Wireless-G USB 2.0 WG111 is Standard 802.11g) it said my USB is not digitally signed? so i disabled it on the property screen, then the new hardware is found but it resarts my computer and will keep restarting my computer (like a loop)untill i take out the USB adaptor. i have tried all my ports and non of them work. but i can use the ports for everything else like printers, mouse and memory with no problems!
