MySQL and Pervasive SQL

I’m not much of a programmer, so please excuse my ignorance!
Can MySQL and Pervasive SQL talk to each other, in other words can I have information within a Pervasive SQL database be imported/exported into a MySQL database, and vise-versa?
The customer has a custom accounting program that utilizes Pervasive SQL for database. They would like to be able to have that information imported into a MySQL database that could be updated/changed, then imported back into the Pervasive SQL database. Is this possible? If so, is there any documentation that supports this, or resource for learning more?
