need a driver after an fdisk

I need the cd rom driver for a compaq presario 1235. I fdisked the laptop now I cannot get the cd rom to operate. I figured I could download the cdrom driver throw it on a floppy and boot from that to get the cdrom towork so i can reinstall win98 seon it….help
