need a real-world sample project

So I’m going through the .Net framework and VB.Net. I’ve done all of the samples and played with them myself adding my own little changes, but I don’t feel like I have a grip on the whole process.I need a sizeable real-world sample project that I could go through and develop myself. I’d like to do something that worked with VB/ASP, SQL Server, and web services.

Does anybody know of any web sites or discussion groups out there that may have some good suggestions or sample projects that I could look at. I’d like to start with something that is documented so I can concentrate on the programming aspects.
