Need help adding a router to network.

Hi there!!!!!! I need to add a router to the existing network, and it is supposed to act as a WAP. After connecting it(Linksys WRT54G),I can access it from the computers that it is connected to, DHCP is enabled, can ping the internet, however cannot get out to the internet. Any Help will be appreciated. Thanks.
