neighborhood networking

I have two computers both win98 run through a switch @ dsl in the uplink.
both running microsoft client and log in, net beui, tcp/ip. on comp #1 i see comp #1 in the neighborhood,but on compt #2 i see #1 and #2. and when i hook up with my laptop I have the same problem an compter #1, but #2 see’s #1,#2 and laptop.
