Net Command

When attempting to use “Net Use” on a Windows 2000 Professional system (logged on to a Windows NT domain…all other networking services are functioning), we get the message ‘net’ is not a recognized internal or external command. This occours with all net commands.
Does anyone know what is causing this or how to correct it?
