Net Send (Messenger Service) Limits

Is there a reg hack to increase the amount of messages in a buffer? Most of my batch files that run at night send me a staus message, but NT limits the buffer to about 8 messages. I used Winpopup on 9x machines and I average about twice that per night. Thanks. Mike.
