Netscape Borders

I am coding xhtml 1.0 transitional dtd. The problem is with a form. The following: renders correctly in I.E. 5.x but shows up with a border in Netscape 4.x (6.2 is okay). Is there a viable workaround to the illegal border=”0″ attribute to the input tag?
