What is the role of a Network Administrator. The reason for me asking this question is that I am going to be a Network Administrator for my brother’s company in the UK, and I am drafting a list of the job of a Network Administrator. The bullet points I have so far, is thus:
To make sure that the computers are Virus-Free;
Set any new computers up;
Create new users;
Make sure the computers are running fast;
Check if the computers are backed up;
Check if the users are not violating the security in the network;
Help users with problems with the network;
Enforce the security regulations of the network;
Monitor all users;
Attend meetings about the Networks;
Attend training seminars or conferences;
Install Software;
Disable userswho violate the security;
Repair machines;
Scan disks for errors;
Monitor the networks;
Install new disk to the servers when needed;
Upgrade the servers when needed.
Is there anything that I’ve missed out in that list? Please reply as soon as possible.
