Network name cannot be found

I am trying to connect to a W2K from NT4 workstation using \\ or net use method and I get ‘network name cannot be found’.

I can ping using the computer name (DNS OK?)

I can connect using an IIS app that runs on the server.

The 2K server cannot be seen on Network Neighborhood.

Ive entered a static mapping into WINS.

Basically all I want to do is to access a share on this server.

I am at my wits end !
