Network printer shares missing

Our network printer shares disappear in printer wizard. We are running Windows 2000 Server and the shares disappear usually once or twice a week during business hours. Each printer has its own ip address and are shared on the file server.
We have to go in and re-share them. What can be causing this to happen?
