Network Problem

I am having Entrega 10/100 usb to ethernet
adapter, when i connect to the network,
the link is coming but it is not get it into
the network, corresponding node
has connected to 10/100 hub in the jack panel,when i connect this to 10 Mbps hub,
i am perfectly get it into the network, why
it is behaving like this? what is the actual reason ?
