I have recently moved my NT Server to another system and am having some problems with very simple resource sharing. I have 2 directories(folders) that I share for users in our small network (10-15 computers). These systems are running win95 & win98. I am also sharing a printer to the networked users.
Since moving to the new system, each time a user boots their system and tries to access the shared folder, the server is asking for a password. This did not happend on my last system but it’s been so long since I initially set it up that I don’t know what I would have done to have them automatically be able to access the shared folders. They are all set up as users on the server with their system id as their user name.
One problem Iam having is that when I select the shared folder and try to access the permissions, I get an error stating “Error invoking the security editor”.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
