Network topology..

I am planning to do MSCE,for that i bought 2 system to form an network. Since i am newbee i dont know which of the below topology(peer to peer or connecting the computer thru an HUB)is best for learning about windows 2000 server in & out. Please tell me the best method thru which i can learn all the features present in win2000 sever. If possible please tell me the reasons too.
