This is kind of a odd situation..
We are running winnt4.0 platform. We also use arcserve for our backups. Arcserve is unable to backup our 20gig database. I have been on the phone with there tech support & they cannot help me. The way we do it now is we set up a job to have our sequal 7.0 application(where the database is being produced from) back it up to the disk on the same machine and then from there arcserve backs it up to tape. We don’t mind doing it this way but we would like to back it up to a different machine on the network & then to arcserve. We tried a copy but it takes way way to long. Is there some other way to do this .To move this huge file to another machine quickly at nite then have arcserve back it up..I hope this does not sound to confusing.. Thanks in advance….
