networking at home

I setup a network of two computers. on one comptuer you can see the entire network and access the network. on the other computer you can access the network, and see parts of the network, but when you go to the my network places and try to access theentire network, the 2nd comptuer cannot see the network. what is the problem, I am running windows me.
