I created a small network of three computers. To of them have Win 2000 but one a laptop has 98. We need to leave it at 98 so it can run an obsolete printer, that won’t work with 2000. I told Win 2000 it is a workgroup and all the computers have the same workgroup name. I can see all the computers on the win 2000 machines, and I can see them on the laptop. When I try to map to a drive, it asks for a password. I didn’t set up any password, so I don’t know why it’s asking for it. And when Itry and look at the other computers on the network, it says I don’t have access to the resouces. I don’t want to set up a domain, just a little workgroup share files and printers that’s all. I made sure the files and folders can all be shared and even went and set them. Go back to the laptop and I can’t access the resouces, and same thing, it wants a password. I can’t figure it out. I really need to solve this,please help
