new exchange 2000

I have read until I am totally confused as to the steps to a sucessfull exchange 2000 migration. I don’t want to do an upgrade I want to build a new exchange 2000 box and migrate over. I have read the six steps which pointed me to other reading. Nowit seems I have lost myself. Is there a set exact set of instructions to follow to make this happen. My steps are,create a root, cleanup resource mail boxes,install ADC, run Forest prep, run dom. prep, install exchange 2000, upgrade mailbox store, replicate pub. store. I know there is much more but I do need help.
