New Hard Drive

Hello,
I’ve just installed a new hard drive on my Windows XP system with the latest updates.
The problem is that instead of showing on my computer the normal “Local Disk (X:)” it shows “Virtual CD/DVD Drive(X:)”. Also, the icon shown is the one that windows shows when it does not recognise the file extension. It works fine but I would like to know if it is possible to change this back to the way it should be.
