Hello,
I built a new PC, third one I build. I am used to run into problems doing so, it is part of the fun. But here, I could need help.
Specs:
MB – ASUS TUF B850e wifi
CPU – Ryzen 7700
RAM- Corsair DDR5 6000 MHz
GPU – PNY RTX 5070
PSU – Corsair 850e
I put all this together and plugged it first without SSD to see if everything works.
Got to the BIOS.
I could see everything in the BIOS. CPU, RAM everything looks fine here, though RAM is showing 4800MHz…but that is not my main concern right now.
I went out and updated the BIOS. Restarted, changed the date and time in the BIOS.
Saved and exit.
then I took my SSD from my old computer and put it like it is thinking: ” let’s see if windows can handle this driver mess I am giving him”. It worked on a previous computer. I just had to work on the drivers afterward but it worked.
Now, I can see the SSD in BIOS, but BIOS is telling me there is no boot device.
So I went to CSM and enabled it.
Save and exit
Motherboards leds go orange, red, white, green and then nothing.
Had to reset the bios via shortcut the CLRTC pins.
It worked, I am back to BIOS.
I tried the same but this time with “safe boot different OS”.
Same result I had to shortcut the CLRTC pins to get back to BIOS.
I checked my partition on my SSD and it is GPT.
One last thing I haven’t mentioned: I get no signal from the GPU (it is on, fans running) so I have to plug it on the MB, but I assume that is a driver problem, I might be wrong.
There is ofc the solution to just buy a new SSD and a clean windows install I guess.
Anyway at this stage any help is very much appreciated as I am quite stuck.
