I’ve been given the task (opportunity) to upgrade our current NOS (3 servers) from Novell 3.12 to Windows 2000 server. It wont be an actual upgrade since the w2k servers will be installed on new machines. I will also introduce and Exchange server to the environment. My questions are as follows:
1.Which should be upgraded(installed) first? 200+ Workstations or 3 Servers and Exchange.
2.Since there are 3 servers (each for separate communities – acct, comm, tech – on same network) and 1 exchange server would each server be its own PDC?
3.Is active directory installed on each?
As you can see from my questions I have little Windows experience so be gentle. All help and direction is appreciated. Althought this may be an easy question for most, I increased the points for more specific help. Thanks.
