NIC

my problem is : everytime i boot my machine my lan adapter shows on the takbar as network cable unplugged,if i pull out my connection from the hub and put it back in the status changes back to online(10 mbps) and all is ok.

now heres the odd thing this is on the server with DHCP and theres no prob assigning IP`s to clients even when showing as unplugged.

under advanced properties i have options for full duplex,port speed(set to 10mbps) same as hub and Network Addresswith an option to leave with no value. what should this be?

why would this be the case?

any help would be much appreciated as pulling out and replacing my connection to the hub each time i reboot is a bit of a pain to say the least.
