NIC Loses its Connection

by doroteo_ruiz . Updated 21 years, 1 month ago

Hello. Here is my Problem! I am having trouble with my NIC Card. It loses its connections every 15-30 seconds then regains its connection. The PC motherboard is a Biostar M6VCF. It has Windows XP Pro. SP2, installed. I have tried the following; ensuring it was not the cabling, router, switch, or ISP modem(all other computers work fine), updated the NIC driver(MPX), moving the NIC to another PCI slot, replacing the NIC with(Realtek RTL8139), and updating its drivers, updating the motherboards chipset drivers, disabling the Media Sense for TCP/IP in Windows, and installed a Winsock fix for Windows resulting with the same outcome. However it does work well when I static the IP Address, but I don’t want the IP Address static. I want the NIC to be able to obtain its Address automatically, which I have also made sure was set right in the NIC’s properties dialog. Your assistance is greatly needed.
